BIO
My name is Junior, and I started SOS K9 Training because of my love and passion for well-balanced dogs and the harmony they can bring to a home when done right.
I have had, and been around dogs all my life, I’ve always had an understanding with them. It stems from my childhood of grandparents doing dog shows, judging, training & breeding the perfect temperament and structure of the breeds. This upbringing has given me the natural instinct with dogs. I went on to pass dog training courses and behavioural training courses purely just to teach my own dogs to the best of my ability. Now years later I have taken the leap to go out there and help as many dogs & owners as possible to achieve their goals of a well-balanced dog by creating SOS K9 Training. I have provided my services to the Norfolk and Suffolk animal trust with behavioural training while I continued to collect more credentials and harness my skills in aggression/barking training, recall, reactive, puppy training and dog communications.
My training philosophy is based on personal experiences and professional training. Due to all the different types of training I have done I use different methods of training which means I can get the best out of your dog.
These methods are:
Alpha Dog Training: This is the preferred method for long term training that installs a healthy respectful bond that shows you, and your children are top of the pack, this involves structure and consistency, not fear and violence! THIS IS LEADERSHIP TRAINING BASED ON RESPECT & STRUCTURE!
Positive reinforcement training: including clicker, or marker training. This can include treats and toys as the first level of training. This type of training is always included.
Bonding method Training: This is a mutual bond with the dog based on a beneficial bond that requires teaching as opposed to training.
I understand due to my lifestyle what it is like when you have a trained dog, its peace and harmony, like having your best friend around. When a dog is untrained and left to, he’s own devices chewing, biting and destruction usually sets in. I believe the key to a well-balanced dog is structure, training & consistency and to provide this, it’s our philosophy that you the owner need to be Calm, Cool & Confident. The only way to truly achieve this by teaching humans how to understand their dog and body language and how to communicate to our doggies. Our body tells our dogs more than our voice. I learned very quickly dogs feed of our energy and reflect us which I believe is overlooked more often than not and I hope to help owners to understand this. I understand that knowledge is key, and I am always looking for new techniques, new methods to further my skills and get more credentials to help people and dogs.
SOS K9 Training is a family business here for you & your dog. We help all breeds but specialize in the bull breeds due to personal experiences, such as Staffordshire Bull Terrier, English Bull Terrier & all types of American Bully’s. We also specialize in Gsd and Belgium malinois and reactive & aggressive behavior. We understand the frustration having an unbalanced dog can cause and with our simple, hands-on approach will give you the bliss you have been looking for.
